These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Cook Along mobile app, website, and related services (together, the "Service"), provided by CODEDANCE PTE. LTD. ("Cook Along", "we", "us"), a company registered in Singapore. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Using Cook Along
Cook Along helps you discover, import, organize, plan, shop for, and cook recipes with AI-assisted and voice-guided features. You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms. If you use the Service for someone else or an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind them to these Terms.
Accounts
Some features may be available without an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting your sign-in credentials, and activity carried out through your account. Contact us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Content you provide
You keep your rights in recipe links, text, photos, voice requests, and other content you submit. You give us a limited, worldwide license to host, copy, process, transmit, and format that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and support the Service.
You may submit content only when you have the right to do so. Do not use Cook Along to copy, distribute, or publish content unlawfully. Imported recipes may belong to third parties; Cook Along does not transfer ownership of the original content to you. Keep and respect the original source.
AI and cooking safety
Cook Along uses automated systems that can misunderstand a source, omit information, or produce an incorrect suggestion. Review recipes before cooking and use your own judgment. Always verify allergens, dietary restrictions, ingredient condition, safe temperatures, cooking times, and whether food is fully cooked. Follow appliance instructions and use appropriate care around heat, knives, and other kitchen hazards.
The Service is for general cooking assistance. It is not medical, nutritional, allergy, food-safety, or other professional advice and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
Cook Along Plus and purchases
Cook Along may offer free features and an optional paid subscription called Cook Along Plus. The price, billing period, included features, and any trial or introductory offer will be shown before you confirm a purchase.
Subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google automatically renew unless canceled through the relevant store before the renewal date. The store account used for purchase is charged according to the terms displayed at checkout. Deleting the app or your Cook Along account does not cancel a subscription.
You can manage or cancel an active subscription through Apple subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions. Refunds and billing disputes are handled under the applicable store rules and mandatory consumer law.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Service, interfere with its operation or security, access it through unauthorized automated means, attempt to reverse engineer it except where the law permits, evade usage limits, or use it to violate another person's rights or applicable law.
Third-party services
The Service may connect to third-party websites, social platforms, app stores, payment providers, speech services, and AI providers. Their services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or services that we do not control.
Service changes and availability
We may update, add, limit, or discontinue features to maintain or improve the Service. We do not promise that every feature or third-party source will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, misuse prevention, or maintenance.
Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and original content, is owned by or licensed to CODEDANCE PTE. LTD. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CODEDANCE PTE. LTD. and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, profits, or opportunity, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or SGD 100. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.
Ending your use
You may stop using Cook Along at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these Terms, create risk or harm, or if we are required to do so by law. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—survive termination.
Apple users
For Cook Along downloaded from Apple's App Store, these Terms supplement the Apple Standard EULA. The Apple Standard EULA also applies, and controls to the extent of any conflict required by Apple.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of laws rules. The courts of Singapore have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This does not prevent you from relying on mandatory consumer protections or bringing a claim in another forum where applicable law gives you that right.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, release notes, or another appropriate channel. Continuing to use the Service after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law.
